Bruschetta with sausage and stracchino cheese

Today’s recipe is ‘Il vecchio boscaiolo’, a bruschetta with sausage and stracchino cheese. It is a quick starter, perfect for an informal lunch or dinner.

This recipe is not difficult to prepare. All you need is a good sausage, stracchino cheese and bread. Personally, I prefer to use salty bread rather than bland bread because I like it better. I would also like to add that I have often eaten this recipe in a small village in Le Marche, where the lady served it on a baguette. I must say that the result was much better: in this case, of course, you reduce the quantities, but I find that the toasted baguette gives the dish a pleasant crunchiness.

Ingredients

  • 200g Sausages

  • 200g stracchino cheese

  • 3 slices of bread

Directions

  • Cut three slices of homemade bread into the size you like best.
  • Put the sausage and the stracchino cheese in a bowl and mix until the stracchino cheese is well mixed with the sausage.
  • Once the mixture is homogeneous, spread it on the bread with a spoon, adding more to taste.
  • Bake the bruschette in a ventilated oven at 200° for about 10 minutes (the time is approximate, check when the surface is golden brown and turn off the oven).
  • Now all you have to do is enjoy this delicious bruschetta.

Notes

  • As mentioned above, you can use any type of bread, but baguettes are best.
